Purchase the Type 600 boating safety exam permit. You must purchase the Type 600 boating safety exam permit before arriving at the library for your exam. Learn where to purchase the permit at the TWRA website.
Come to the library on your scheduled test day.
Important: Bring your boating exam permit. The permit will be validated when you pass the exam. If you do not pass the exam, this permit can continue to be used to take the exam as many times as it takes to pass.
Keep the boating exam permit. It serves as temporary certification until your card is mailed to you.
After you pass the exam, you will receive your wallet card in the mail within a few weeks.
