About Looby Branch Library
December 8, 1976, Metro officials and friends of the late Dr. Z. Alexander Looby gathered to dedicate a new library, community center, and theater to the memory of the former Metro Councilman and civil rights leader.
The Main Library will reopen Saturday, Oct 26. Holds pending pickup remain available at Looby branch through its closing on Thursday, Oct 24. Then they will be transferred back to the Main Library where you can pick them up beginning Saturday.
