Boating License Exams

Visit select Nashville Public Library locations to take the TWRA Boating Safety exam.

To take a boater exam:

Purchase the Type 600 boating safety exam permit. You must purchase the Type 600 boating safety exam permit before arriving at the library for your exam. Learn where to purchase the permit at the TWRA website.
Call a library location that offers the boating exam to schedule a time for your test.
Arrive at the library on the day of your test.
