In part two of this season finale episode, Bassam and Lana continue the discussion with Cynthia Moynihan on ways to support community members living with hidden disabilities.

Cynthia Moynihan transitioned from the Program Manager for Library Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to Equal Access Manager with Nashville Public Library in September 2024. With a combined Undergraduate and Master’s in Business Administration from Belmont University, she has over 30+ years of experience serving on various non-profit, hearing loss and educational boards. Born hard of hearing, Cynthia went deaf over 20 years ago and embraces working with others to embrace being empowered and enabled.
Cynthia is a 2014 graduate of the two-year hearing loss Peer Mentor Program from Gallaudet University in Washington DC, a Canine Companions Service Dog Ambassador and members of various hearing loss and disability related organizations. She is honored to serve as the Equal Access Manager, providing services for the disabled at the Nashville Public Library with a focus on embracing diversity and inclusion to ensure library services, resources and facilities are accessible to all members of the community. This includes physical, digital, assistive technologies, accessible materials. program and events, staff training/ sensitivity, and outreach to underserved communities.
She encourages others to seek out and be part of Toastmasters, Non-Violent Communication, Lions Club, Sertoma and New Beginnings for Women, and various Community Outreach programs.
